Who we are
American Health Associates is the nation’s largest clinical reference laboratory dedicated to long-term care — bringing 35 years of diagnostic excellence to patients in 2,500 healthcare facilities nationwide, powered by 14 full-service, CAP-accredited laboratories. Our mission is simple: empower patients with better diagnostics, wherever they are. Our mobile team is how care gets home.
The role
Are you a skilled phlebotomist who enjoys working independently and providing exceptional patient care? We’re seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our growing team serving patients throughout the Cleveland/Akron region — visiting patient homes, skilled nursing and assisted living communities, and bringing quality laboratory services directly to the people who need them most.
What your day looks like
• Travel to patient homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and other healthcare locations across Northeast Ohio
• Collect blood specimens using expert venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
• Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling, integrity, and transport
• Provide professional, compassionate service to elderly patients and healthcare partners
• Complete required documentation and communicate clearly with laboratory and facility staff
Requirements
What you bring
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; minimum one year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Strong venipuncture skills, especially with elderly patients
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance (100/300/100), and age 21+
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The self-direction to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
What we offer
• Competitive pay and mileage reimbursement
• Flexible scheduling and an independent work environment
• The stability of the nation’s largest long-term-care laboratory
• Purpose in every visit — you are how care reaches patients who can’t come to us
