Job description
Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment
Lead audits across business, finance, operations, IT, compliance, and special investigations
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes
Report audit results, key risks, and recommendations to executive management and the Audit Committee
Monitor remediation of audit findings and control improvements
Manage and develop the internal audit team and external co-sourcing partners, if applicable
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards
Coordinate with external auditors, compliance, legal, finance, and other stakeholders
Support fraud investigations, whistleblower reviews, and ad hoc reviews as needed
Continuously improve audit methodology, tools, and reporting quality
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field
Professional certification preferred: CIA, CPA, CISA, ACCA, or equivalent
10+ years of experience in internal audit, risk, compliance, finance, or related functions
Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, audit methodology, and governance practices
Experience presenting to senior leadership and Audit Committees
Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
