Elementary Special Education Teacher | Resource Room

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is partnering with an Illinois school district to find a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an elementary resource room serving students in grades 3–5. This full-year assignment is an opportunity to deliver focused academic support, tailor instruction to individual abilities, and help students develop the confidence and skills needed to thrive in school.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records.
Assess student performance and adjust teaching strategies to promote academic growth.
Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress with the school team.
Reinforce grade-level concepts and adapt instructional materials to support diverse learners.
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ learning needs and IEP goals.
Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Strong teaching, classroom management, and organizational abilities.
Previous experience in a school-based special education setting preferred.
Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and school personnel.
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement.
