Job description

Description

Engrain builds map-based tech that’s redefining how real estate works. Our interactive, unit-level maps and powerful data integrations help over 1,000 companies—and 20,000 properties—to make smarter decisions, streamline leasing, and deliver better renter experiences. From prospect to renewal, our products give properties a spatial brain and a visual edge when it comes to property marketing and management. And it’s working: our churn rate is just 5%, and we’ve been putting up double-digit growth numbers every year.

We’re not your typical proptech company. We move fast, we stay curious, and we don’t do stale or corporate fluff. Backed by successful Seed and Series A rounds, we’re entering a phase of serious scale.

As a Graphic Designer on our Creative Services Team (our own in-house branding agency), you will have the opportunity to be a part of Engrain’s growth and dynamic environment. The role is responsible for producing dynamic branding and website designs for multifamily clients in both digital and print mediums. As a member of the Creative Services team, you’ll work with our Creative Director alongside a team of talented creative professionals to create high-level design concepts and see each project to successful completion through impeccable execution and an eye for detail.

What you'll do...

Create dynamic and contemporary designs for branding and web projects servicing the multifamily industry.

Leverage AI-powered design tools to rapidly generate mood boards and conceptualize high-level branding themes.

Work through UX and UI decisions to create dynamic interactive website experiences.

Provide fresh concepts for a large volume of similar project types, utilizing generative AI to brainstorm and break through creative blocks.

Implement AI-assisted workflows for repetitive production tasks, including image upscaling, generative fill for asset extensions, and automated background removal.

Establish branding concepts that will be applied to future systems and projects.

Work closely with the development team to ensure designs are constructed within the parameters of existing technology platforms and remain intuitive and functional visual solutions to optimize the user experience.

Requirements

What you offer us...

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Minimum two years of experience in Figma

Hands-on experience with AI design integration, specifically using Adobe’s generative AI features or similar LLM/image-generation platforms to supplement the creative process.

Thorough understanding of design principles and techniques.

Experience in designing for digital products.

Strong understanding of typography, hierarchy, and layout.

Critical eye for AI-generated content, with the ability to manually refine and "humanize" AI outputs to ensure they meet Engrain’s high-quality brand standards.

Provable experience in developing UI/UX processes or products is a plus.

Proactive and solutions-oriented with a passion for troubleshooting and exploring new creative technologies.

2-4 years of experience in a fast-paced agency or in-house creative environment.

Comfortable with designing for digital systems, with a strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and considerations.
