As an Assistant Bakery/Deli Manager, you’ll support daily operations, lead team members, and help drive sales and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced grocery store bakery and deli environment.

What You’ll Do
Assist in managing daily operations of the bakery and deli departments
Supervise and support team members in the absence of the manager
Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are maintained
Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock control
Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns
Support hiring, training, and development of team members
Execute promotions, merchandising, and product displays
Monitor product quality, freshness, and proper labeling
Help drive sales, profitability, and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
Experience in food service, restaurant, retail, or grocery management preferred
Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic math and financial understanding (inventory, sales, labor)
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Flexible full-time availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays)
Work Environment
Fast-paced grocery store bakery and deli
Exposure to hot cooking equipment and cold storage areas
Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs
