Job description
As a Dispatch Operative, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and dispatching food products to customers and retailers in line with strict food safety and hygiene standards. You’ll work closely with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
General Responsibilities
Pick, pack, and dispatch finished goods in accordance with customer orders and daily schedules
Ensure products are labelled correctly and meet quality and safety standards before despatch
Maintain accurate records of outgoing deliveries using internal systems
Work in chilled or ambient environments
Check delivery documentation and assist in loading goods onto transport vehicles
Monitor use-by dates, batch numbers, and allergen information to ensure traceability
Ensure the despatch area is clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations
Communicate effectively with production, Technical, and logistics teams to resolve issues
Remove all waste from production and disposed of in designated areas
Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene policies including use of PPE
