Job description
Description
In the vibrant, growing wine region of Paso Robles, Robert Hall Winery stands as a pioneering estate and a recognized leader in sustainable winegrowing. Family-owned and operated, led by Jeff O'Neill, a third-generation agriculturalist, the winery carries forward a legacy of hard work, warm hospitality, and deep respect for the land. Under winemaker Amanda Gorter, Robert Hall crafts award-winning wines and made history with the first nationally distributed Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC™) wine. Robert Hall has also earned Certified California Sustainable, ISO 14001, and B Corp credentials. From the estate vineyard to the iconic 19,000-square-foot underground barrel cave, every bottle reflects a commitment to land, craft, and The Good Life, Shared.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
O'Neill Vintners & Distillers is seeking a polished, relationship-driven Manager, Estate Events and Activations to shape the luxury estate experience for our guests, trade, and community. As the face of the brand in the community, this role builds and stewards relationships with VIPs, wine club members, media, and trade partners, and works with the Chief Growth Officer, marketing, and DTC teams on the estate's broader brand and marketing needs.
Private events, weddings, trade activations, and consumer experiences are central to this role. The Manager develops a cohesive events calendar, supports pricing and packaging for event offerings, and works with estate leadership, hospitality, culinary, winemaking, and sales to ensure every event and activation supports our commercial goals while upholding the highest standards of luxury hospitality and guest experience.
This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Brand and is based at Robert Hall, initially focusing on that property with the potential to expand to Ram's Gate Winery as business needs evolve.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job, but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
Brand Ambassadorship & Relationship Building:
Represent the estate at community, regional, and industry events, serving as a visible ambassador who strengthens brand awareness, goodwill, and key relationships through active networking, civic involvement, and industry engagement.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with VIPs, wine club members, media, and trade partners that drive loyalty, repeat visitation, and referrals.
Collaborate with estate leadership, marketing, and DTC teams to align events and activations with the estate’s broader brand strategy, guest experience objectives, and commercial priorities.
Estate Marketing Support:
Own estate-level execution of marketing elements beyond events, including social media content, local advertising, signage, collateral, and promotional materials, in partnership with the O'Neill marketing and DTC teams.
Serve as the estate's on-site marketing point of contact, coordinating photo/video content capture, local press opportunities, and community marketing.
Help execute estate-level marketing campaigns and initiatives, ensuring brand consistency and timely, on-brand execution.
Private Events & Weddings:
Represent the estate's brand, standards, and commercial interests throughout the planning and execution of weddings and private events as the on-site point of contact; partnering closely with outside wedding and event planners, who coordinate the detailed logistics of each event.
Prepare estate facilities, operations, and offerings to secure, book, and execute high-level paid private events, including weddings.
Build and maintain relationships with a network of top-tier partners and vendors, including hotels, restaurants, staffing companies, rental and production companies, florists, and other event vendors, to support seamless, high-level event execution.
Set and manage venue pricing, packaging, and contracts for private event offerings in partnership with finance and estate leadership.
Coordinate with culinary, winemaking, and operations teams, and with outside wedding/event planners, to ensure a seamless, on-brand guest experience for every event.
Trade, Media and VIP Activations:
Create, lead, and host VIP, media, and trade visits and experiences that showcase the estate and support sales and brand-building goals.
Partner with sales and marketing teams to design trade activations, tastings, and hosted visits that strengthen key accounts and distributor relationships.
Coordinate logistics, hospitality, and follow-up for trade and media hosting to ensure a consistently strong brand impression and estate experience.
Consumer & DTC Experiences:
Design and deliver consumer-facing experiences, tastings, and wine club programming that drive visitation, conversion, and member retention.
Build and manage an annual events calendar that balances private, trade, and consumer programming across the property.
Analyze event performance data (attendance, revenue, conversion, guest feedback) for use in refining future programming.
Sustainability & Community Impact:
Champion O’Neill’s mission and Certified B Corp commitments in all estate programming, bringing our sustainability story to life for guests, members, media, and trade partners.
Integrate responsible practices into event planning and execution, including sustainable vendor and sourcing choices, waste reduction, and alignment with the company’s Environmental Policy.
Cultivate community partnerships and local civic engagement that reflect the company’s commitment to doing the right thing for our employees, consumers, partners, and the planet.
