If you have a background in finance or project operations, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a global leader in transport infrastructure based in Taoyuan. You will be the financial backbone of major rail and road projects, offering a stable environment where you can truly influence the commercial success and growth of large-scale initiatives.

Job description

Siemens Mobility is the trusted partner for sustainable and seamless public transport solutions for rail and road, from the first to the last mile. As the commercial and financial counterpart to the Project Manager, you will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring reliable project forecasting, effective revenue and cash-flow management, disciplined budget control, contract and risk management, and accurate customer payment applications aligned with physical project progress and contractual milestones. Discover what it is like to be part of our team in Taiwan!

Responsibilities:

Own project financial planning and controlling, including budget, cost-to-complete, revenue, margin, cash flow, working capital, opportunities, and risks.

Prepare regular project forecasts based on actual progress, remaining scope, delivery milestones, and the latest technical schedule; explain deviations and recommend corrective actions.

Determine and document revenue recognition and forecast assumptions in alignment with project progress, contractual terms, and applicable internal accounting requirements.

Plan, initiate, and monitor foreign exchange hedging requirements together with the responsible Treasury / Finance functions; track exposure changes throughout project execution.

Understand the customer Bill of Quantities (BoQ), payment schedule, and acceptance criteria. Work with Engineering, Site, Commissioning, and the Project Manager to break down the BoQ into measurable work packages and payment application items.

Prepare, substantiate, and track payment applications, invoices, certificates, retention, and collection status against physical progress and contractual milestones; proactively resolve gaps that could delay billing or cash collection.

Partner with the Project Manager to establish the project baseline and maintain cost discipline. Monitor commitments, actual costs, accruals, and forecast changes, and drive timely mitigation of budget overruns.

Manage the commercial aspects of customer negotiations for new orders, variation orders, and claims. Ensure pricing, commercial calculations, and contractual assumptions are complete and traceable.

Identify commercial, contractual, tax, currency, insurance, and payment risks at an early stage. Escalate material issues with a clear impact assessment and recommendation for management decision-making.

Ensure contractual obligations, notices, records, and deadlines are addressed. Coordinate with Legal, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, and other functions when specialist support is required.

Maintain high-quality project documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes, approval requirements, and quality gates, including LoA.

Support a structured handover from bid to execution and maintain transparent communication with the project team.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commercial Management, or a related field.

At least 5 years of relevant experience in project finance, project commercial management, project controlling, or contract administration. Experience in infrastructure, rail, construction, engineering, or other long-cycle project businesses is strongly preferred.

Strong commercial judgment and analytical capability, with attention to detail and the ability to translate technical progress into financial and commercial impacts.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:

We value your unique identity and perspective. We are fully committed to providing equitable opportunities and building a workplace that reflects the diversity of society. Come bring your authentic self and transform the everyday with us.
