AECOM is seeking an experienced Quality Lead:Rail projects to join our Dublin-based team, supporting the delivery of major transport infrastructure programmes across Ireland.

This is a programme-level quality leadership role, providing strategic direction, governance and assurance across projects and workstreams. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in quality management within complex infrastructure programmes, together with a sound understanding of the Irish transport environment.

A key requirement is familiarity with client procedures, standards and ways of working, as well as experience of quality requirements associated with tunnelling and rail infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee quality management activities at programme and PMO level, ensuring consistent application of quality requirements across projects and workstreams.

Develop, implement and maintain programme-level Quality Management Plans, processes, procedures and assurance frameworks.

Provide independent quality assurance and governance, identifying risks, trends, non-conformances and opportunities for improvement.

Ensure project teams comply with applicable client requirements, standards and procedures.

Establish and monitor quality performance indicators, reporting quality status, risks and key issues to programme leadership.

Support the development and implementation of audit, inspection, assurance and continuous improvement programmes.

Work closely with project managers, design teams, contractors, technical disciplines and client representatives to embed quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide quality leadership across complex infrastructure interfaces, with particular consideration of rail, tunnelling and major transport infrastructure requirements.

Review and challenge project quality documentation, deliverables and assurance evidence.

Lead or support investigations into quality issues, non-conformances and root causes, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions.

Promote a strong quality culture across the programme, encouraging consistent standards and a proactive approach to risk management.

Contribute to programme governance, stage-gate reviews and management reporting.
