Looking for a great driving opportunity that offers competitive pay and the chance to be home every weekend? This full-time CDL-A driver role in the Midwest is perfect for both experienced drivers and recent CDL school graduates, with paid training and guaranteed weekly earnings. You'll get to know the Midwest region well and enjoy consistent miles and pay.

Job description

South Suburbs drivers: Midwest miles, weekends at home, and a company that hires new CDL grads.

You stay in the Midwest, you are never far from the house, and your weekends belong to you. If you just finished CDL school, you start with a paid mentor before you go solo.

The money

Paid every week during training

$1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo

$1,000 to $1,700 a week once solo

1,600 to 2,000 miles a week; drivers average about 1,900

$15 per stop except the first and last

Weekly direct deposit

Your week

Regional lanes in the Midwest, a mix of drop and hook and live freight. About 1,900 miles a week on average. Home on weekends.

What new drivers ask us

"How often will I see home?" Every weekend once you are solo.

"Will one ticket disqualify me?" Not by itself. Up to 2 moving violations in the past 2 years is accepted.

"What if I have a problem on the road?" Loads are planned for you, and your driver leader picks up the phone.

"Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes.

"What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.

What happens after you apply

A recruiter calls the same business day and goes over your license and record with you. Orientation takes 2 days at most; the hotel is covered, your bus ticket is reimbursed, and you get $300 for attending once hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing, logs, fueling and trip planning, and you are paid every week while you learn. When you are ready, you get your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.

To qualify

You must be 21 or older with a Class A CDL. New drivers need at least 120 hours from a CDL school; otherwise, 6 months of recent experience. We accept up to 2 moving violations in the last 2 years and no DUI/DWI in the last 10. You will also pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine drug test.

Once you pass 30 days

Full medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage, a 401(k), an employee stock purchase plan, paid vacation, yearly raises, and a free online degree for you and one family member. Pets and riders are allowed; trainees can bring a dog once training is finished.

Calumet City, Lansing, Dolton and Hammond drivers, apply today.

Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants are considered regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
