Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning

Helps maintain the Singapore IT Blueprint

Develops and maintains IT architecture frameworks, inventories, methodologies and standards and provides governance oversight to ensure alignment of various IT initiatives.

Liaises with requesters on demand related to new IT solutions and initiatives and assists with market scan for new initiatives and selection committees.

Business Performance and Management

Support program/projects by providing overall business/technology architecture design and alignment within the bank’s architecture and other programmes.

To translate high level business transformation strategy into application, data and technical architecture design requirement and its fitness in the existing architecture environment in comply with the group’s enterprise architecture standards.

To design and develop solution architecture patterns and work with the enterprise architecture team in identifying common reusable patterns and standardize them across the group and country level for the identified business domain area.

To provide feedback and improvements over the standards, methodologies, processes and best practices to the enterprise architecture team to review and update enterprise architecture standards both at the group and country level.

To provide technical expertise advice in all aspects of the solution designing, including infrastructure and product (e.g. scalability, security, availability, integration).

To provide sound technical impact/ risk assessment in relation to requirement changes in a highly integrated applications environment.

People Management

This is an individual contributor role with room for mentorship and thought leadership for those with relevant experience and seniority.

Regulatory Compliance

To establish and maintain adhere of Enterprise and Solution Architecture, Cloud, Data and AI assets and related IT operational processes in compliance with regulatory and internal P&P.

IT Department SOPs.

Requirements:

University Bachelor's Degree preferably majoring in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field. OR equivalent on the job expertise obtained.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT enterprise architecture related roles

Banking & financial services experience preferred.

Ability to create robust, sustainable architecture that support requirements and provides for scalability given budgetary constraints and user requirements.

Knowledge in application management and project SDLC, ITIL processes in a banking environment

Good sense in new technologies landscape

Proven experience in building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.

Skilled in performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to address specific business questions and identify improvement opportunities.

Strong analytical skills for working with unstructured datasets.

Experience in developing processes for data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.

Demonstrated success in manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.

Knowledgeable in message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data stores.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Strong appreciation of high level business strategy and translates them into implementable technologies pieces.

Good understanding on the universal banking business domain with proven track record in solutioning for large scale programs and projects.

Understands dimensions of system design, including performance, scalability, release-management, industry technologies, upgrade path, costs of ownership for the overall solution.

Competencies in quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.

Experience to create robust, sustainable architecture that supports requirements and provides for scalability given budgetary constraints and user requirements.

Experience & skill to define multiple solution options to business problems.

Appreciation and experience with Service Oriented Architecture, Application Messaging, Integration Technology, Enterprise Service Bus technology, Web Services, and Database design.

Understanding of DevOps & Continuous Integration practices.

Extensive experience in Open standards and technologies

Knowledge & Experience in financial models and budgeting.

Experience in using established methodologies, notations (such as UML.), techniques (such as Design Patterns) and tools (such as Rational Rose).

Manage technical scope and provide good technical effort estimate for delivery schedules for projects.

Evaluation of new technologies, software products and vendor proposals.

Introducing innovation through preparation and presenting of technical proposals to stakeholders and navigating through approval processes.
