Job description
The Manager will head the Record‑to‑Report function for the Insurance L&A segment, overseeing all aspects of month‑end closing, journal entry processing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role requires close collaboration with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information while driving continuous improvement and compliance within the organization.
Responsibilities
Oversee Record-to-Report (RTR) processes for the insurance business.
Manage month‑end closing activities ensuring timely completion.
Supervise preparation and posting of journal entries.
Perform and review account reconciliations.
Consolidate and present month‑end financial reports.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (actuarial, underwriting, claims).
Mentor and develop junior staff.
Monitor key performance indicators and provide insights to senior management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CA/CPA preferred.
Minimum 5 years experience in RTR within an insurance organization.
Strong knowledge of month‑end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
Understanding of insurance accounting standards (IFRS 17, local GAAP).
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to lead a team and manage stakeholder expectations.
Effective communication and presentation abilities.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
