Job description

Company Description

Cell therapies are transforming what's possible for patients with previously untreatable diseases. At Cellular Origins, we're helping make these therapies more accessible by revolutionising how they're manufactured at scale.

Our Constellation platform combines robotics, automation and bioprocess equipment to help cell therapy companies scale manufacturing. As our technology moves into customer delivery, we're looking for a Quality Manager to ensure the systems we develop, manufacture and deliver meet the highest standards.

Job Description

About the Role

As our Quality Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality of the systems we deliver to customers, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, delivery teams, suppliers and customers.

You'll own and continually improve our Quality Management System (QMS), maintaining our ISO 9001 certification standards while ensuring quality remains practical, effective and embedded throughout the business.

From system development and manufacturing through to customer acceptance and delivery, you'll help ensure our technology meets both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

Own and continually improve our QMS, maintaining ISO 9001 standards as the business grows.

Support quality throughout system development, manufacturing, verification, deployment and customer handover.

Work directly with customers to understand quality and regulatory requirements, including supporting customer audits.

Manage supplier quality through audits, issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Lead quality investigations, non-conformance management and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Embed practical quality processes across engineering, manufacturing and delivery without creating unnecessary complexity.

Provide training, guidance and mentoring to promote a strong quality culture across the business.

Qualifications

About You

You'll have experience managing quality within a technical development and manufacturing environment, ideally involving complex equipment, automation or systems delivered to customers.

You'll be comfortable working closely with engineers, scientists and customers, balancing quality requirements with the practical needs of a fast-moving technology business.

You'll bring:

A STEM degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Quality management experience within a technical development and manufacturing environment.

Experience supporting the manufacture, verification, commissioning or delivery of complex systems to customers.

Strong knowledge of QMS management and ISO 9001 standards.

Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements in regulated manufacturing environments, including awareness of GMP.

Experience managing customer and supplier audits, non-conformances and continuous improvement.

Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and support teams.

A pragmatic, hands-on approach to quality, with the confidence to balance technical, customer and commercial priorities.
