This is a fantastic opportunity for a Class A Truck Driver, even if you're a recent grad! You can expect great weekly pay, guaranteed earnings for your first three months, and consistent miles without being sent all over the country. Plus, you'll be home within two days.
Job description
Rockford drivers: OTR miles that keep you within 2 days of home.
Nothing west of Denver, no New England, no New York. You get big weekly miles without being sent everywhere. Recent CDL grads are hired and trained.
What you earn
Paid every week during training
$1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
$1,200 to $1,800 a week once solo
2,000 to 2,800 miles a week
$15 per stop except the first and last
Weekly direct deposit
Your week
OTR lanes east of Denver, mix of drop and hook, live loads and preloads. Out about two weeks, then home. Day and night dispatch.
From CDL school to your own truck
A recruiter calls you and reviews your CDL and driving record with you.
Orientation, 2 days at most. Hotel paid, one-way bus ticket reimbursed, $300 for orientation once hired.
4 to 6 weeks with a mentor: backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. You are paid every week.
Your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.
Straight answers for new drivers
"How often will I see home?" Every two weeks, and you are never more than about 2 days from home.
"I am not good at backing yet." Nobody is on day one. You practice for weeks with a mentor beside you before you drive alone.
"Do I pay for orientation?" No. Hotel covered, bus ticket reimbursed, and $300 once you are hired.
"Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
"What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.
What you need
Class A CDL from your state of residence, 21 or older
New CDL grad with 120+ school hours, or 6 months of recent experience
No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen
Benefits after 30 days
Medical, dental, vision and prescription
401(k) and employee stock purchase plan
Paid time off and yearly raises
Free online degree for you and one family member
Pet and rider programs (your dog can ride with you once training is done)
