Embla Software Innovations is looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Accounts Executive with an audit firm background to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to own key accounting functions and contribute to the continued growth and financial excellence of a dynamic international technology company.

We are seeking a results-oriented individual who can work independently, adapt to technology and AI-driven tools, and effectively support day-to-day finance operations with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Review and authorize daily payment transactions in line with company policies and internal controls.

Maintain and review accounting records, journal entries, invoices, receipts, and financial documentation.

Monitor receivables and follow up with customers to ensure timely collections and healthy cash flow.

Support month-end, year-end, and audit processes.

Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and management reporting requirements.

Ensure accounting records and supporting documents are properly maintained and audit-ready.

Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and implementation of best practices within the finance function.

Provide financial and operational support to finance leadership and management.

Perform other finance and administrative duties as required.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; part qualification in CA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in a Senior Accounts Executive or similar capacity.

Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan accounting practices, taxation, and financial compliance requirements.

Excellent MS Excel and accounting software skills.

Experience handling reconciliations, receivables, reporting, and financial records management.

Preferred Competencies

Fluent spoken and written English.

Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to independently identify issues and recommend practical solutions.

Comfortable using AI tools and modern technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
