Job description
Salary: R29 000 per month
Remote Recruitment is hiring an IT Helpdesk Agent to support a UK employer's staff from South Africa. You will be the first person people reach when something stops working, and the reason they get back to work quickly.
Good first-line support is half diagnosis and half reassurance. This role suits someone who can do both without making anyone feel foolish for asking.
Key Responsibilities Respond to first-line support requests by phone, email and chat.
Diagnose and resolve common hardware, software and account issues.
Log and track tickets through to resolution.
Escalate complex problems with clear, complete notes.
Guide users through fixes in plain language.
Maintain documentation so recurring issues get faster to solve.
What You Will Need Experience in IT support or a helpdesk role.
Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365 and common ticketing tools.
Clear spoken and written English.
Patience and genuine problem-solving instincts.
A reliable laptop and stable connection.
Working Hours Full-time position.
Fully remote, based in South Africa.
09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST).
